Frequently asked.

Is this a clinical trial?
No. This is a consumer product validation program, not a clinical trial. We track usage, experience, and optional biometrics to refine the product. A separate IRB-approved clinical trial is planned for 2026.
Is the SHIFT safe?
Yes. All light and sound stimulus parameters fall within established IEC photic safety limits. However, individuals with photosensitive epilepsy or a history of seizures should not use this device. The SHIFT is a consumer wellness device designed for home use. It is not a medical device.
Do I need a wearable tracker?
Recommended but not required. If you have an Oura Ring, Whoop, or Apple Watch, we can integrate your sleep and HRV data for richer insights. Without one, you'll still get the full SHIFT experience.
What happens after the beta?
You keep the device. Beta participants also receive priority access to the final consumer product, future updates, and new sessions as they're released.
Can I get a refund?
Due to the nature of the program, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within the first 14 days. Contact us at goodvibes@vibescience.co.
How do I get support?
Beta participants get direct access to the Vibe Science team via a dedicated support channel — not a generic help desk.
What data do you collect?
Usage data (session frequency, session selection), subjective experience surveys, and optionally, biometric data from your health tracker (with your explicit consent). All data is anonymized for analysis.
